What happens when I scan my website?
Mermail reads public pages on your website and related documentation it can safely reach. It then builds a report your workspace can use when helping customers.
What information does Mermail collect?
Mermail looks for your brand name, business summary, products, policies, public support contacts, social profiles, and useful documentation. Each saved fact keeps a link to where it was found.
What is the difference between Scan and Detailed scan?
Scan checks the most relevant pages first and usually finishes within 90 seconds. If more useful pages or documentation are found, Mermail may offer an optional Detailed scan that checks more of them.
Do I have to run a Detailed scan?
No. You can use the first result right away. Run a Detailed scan only when you want Mermail to check more pages and documentation.
What if Mermail cannot read every page?
If enough useful information is available, Mermail can return a clearly labeled partial result. You can use that result, try again, or run a Detailed scan when it is offered.
Does scanning change my website or access private data?
No. Mermail only reads public pages and documents that the website allows it to access. It does not sign in, edit your website, or open private customer data.
What happens when I choose Use this in Mermail?
Mermail adds the report to a workspace where you are an admin. If that workspace already uses a different website profile, Mermail asks before replacing it.
Will this change my tone or email signature?
Agents use a Friendly tone for every imported website profile. Existing mailbox signatures stay unchanged, and any suggested signature still needs admin approval before it can be used.
